Trade routes

I have a problem with trade routes. They run all right for a while then the wagon train forgets to unload. It just keeps travelling round the loop building up cargo until I stop it. Any solution to this?

Me tooo!!! It is annoying, because micromanaging trade each turn gets SSSSOOOOOOOo tedious towards the end.

Perhaps the destination of the wagon is full of the wagon's cargo? I have never had that problem myself anyway...

I had this problem a couple of times too, and every time the destination was full of the wagons cargo... I don't know if that is the case with you guys, but that was the problem for me anyway...

No that's not the reason. There is plenty of room for the cargo at the destination colony. Once it starts going wrong most or all of the trade routes are affected and no cargo is being dropped off. The wagons just cycle through their colonies with cargo building up until they are full. Eventually I have to stop using trade routes.

If this only affects some people I wonder if it is connected with the game version. I am on version 3.0, maybe in fixing some bugs they introduced another?

I have this problem too. When a type of goods is boycotted in Europe, automated trade routes will never unload that goods. To avoid the problem you have to be loyal to your king. I think this bug have been fixed in later versions.

Ah, so that's the problem: boycotted goods don't unload anywhere... Silly. But at least now you know, dalgo.

Jeez I never would have thought of that. Sounds right because I usually allow raw materials to be boycotted from early in the game.
