You read my mind! In a dairy game, eliminating sad people is one of the most important task for increasing the score.

Hmmm. I've moved where it's hosted, and messed up the IP address first time. It could take another 24 hours for the correct IP address to filter through!

May be there is a tiny bug in your Viewer program (see attachment). Amphictyonis is displayed twice right next to each other within 1 tile apart. IIRC, I disbanded Amphictyonis and rebuilt it within the same turn. To reproduce this problem, just download my HoF Sid game and look at any year after Amphictyonis was founded the second time. It's really no big deal and you don't really have to do anything. Your program works great as is!

Ok, 2.5.2 installed ok. Time to test it out. Rings and Map Stat launch and appear to work. Hope you're having a great break.

RFE- change sort preferences in the territory view so can see civ with most tiles.

The jump to city on happiness tab is a nice feature.

MapStat error

Terrain percentage error.

Loading an AD230 sav I got these values:

Total: 5000
Visible: 1562, 31.2%
Land: 1804, 36.1%
Water: 3196, 63.9%
Ocean: 1920, 38.4%

Obviously that adds up to more than 100%. This is a standard PTW map. I would expect total to be 10,000.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll look into that at some point (after the CGOTM).

RFE? Anyhoo, that sounds pretty easy to do.

Yes, it obviously adds up to more than 100%, but it is supposed to!
Visible is the number of visible tiles across all terrain types, so includes tiles in the Land/Water/Ocean categories.
Water includes Ocean/Sea/Coast, Land includes all other terrain. Note that Land+Water = 100%.

I finally figured out you were grouping multiple counts so percentages were more than 100%.

RFE == Request For Enhancement.

No problems discovered with tools over the break. Only annoyance was a minor one with the Rings tool.
If I changed distance for Ring1, Ring2, Ring3 from default, or
size/color of non highlighted rings, then
these changes were not saved at the next time launched.

No biggie, just was a bit annoying. With C3C rings are not important, but sometimes it is
helpful to see distance from city A to point B.

Here's another RFE, on MapStat, is it possible to have a columns with
1. turns til citizen is added
2. build queue

Might then to bypass F1 screen. Again fun tools, it is amazing how much they improve the gaming experience.

Exclamation CRpSuite 2.6.0 released

I have just released a new version of CRpSuite (version 2.6.0) on my Website with the following new features :

New features in 2.6.0 :
  • CRpMapStat : New Trading view, showing whether any contacted civs have workers/gold/techs to trade.
  • CRpMapStat : Cause of notifications now highlighted.
  • CRpMapStat : Territory view now sorted by tiles owned.
  • CRpMapStat : Territory view now shows only civs contacted and counts only visible tiles.
  • CRpMapStat : Bug fixed. Copying autosaves sometimes copied 0 bytes.
  • CRpViewer : Bug fixed. Raze city event didn't work for C3C.
  • CRpRings : Ring distances now persisted.

The biggest change is the trading tab. I hope ainwood doesn't mind, but I was missing his TradeAssist features on C3C . Here's a screenshot :

I have also added the .crp file for GOTM31.

Good god, Dianthus. How much more can you do with this program? Is the next version going to make me coffee so I can stay awake and watch it play my game for me?

(That's a compliment, by the way.)

These tools are fantastic.
Can I ask (please forgive me if I'm being dense or asking for the moon on a stick) is it possible in the Viewer to get a numeric value for the score at a given point...like drag the red line to 1500 AD and see what the score was at that stage?

You're not being dense. I love requests like this, that are easy to do! I'll add it to my todo list. I probably won't do another update until the end of the month (unless someone finds a serious bug), but look for it then .

Question City Size Increase (this Turn)

@Dianthus: Your utility program is developing beautifully!....thanks a million!

Here's my request (if not already available?)
When playing a game with a lot of cities (viz. Milk Run), you don't want to check EVERY city every turn to make sure the Labourers are on the correct squares.
When the city increases in size (viz. the Food Box fills), a Labourer will automatically be placed by the program.......this MAY well be in the wrong place (viz. not where YOU want it working)!

So, is it possible to identify on a List, ONLY those cities that have increased in size THIS turn?

Hey, you even added a extra blank line on the terrain view. Now it is so clear.

No problems with the upgrade patch.

Miniscule problem, on trading, techs to trade are still listed for civs that have died.

What's the significance of the pink background?

That's not yet a feature, but doesn't sound too hard, definitely easier than the last feature you asked for. I did look into your "What happens to the territory if I disband?" thing, but it looked like to much work .

Yep. I forgot to add that to the list of changes, but thought it was a good idea as it was obviously confusing before. Nice to know that change improved it!

Ooops . Can you tell I've only tested this in the early game? I'll fix that for the next release!

It's the "subtle" way of highlighting the causes of the notifications. It's of most use on the Trading tab. Any pink fields are those that changed since the last .sav, so causing a notification. Note that if pink isn't quite obvious enough you can always change the highlighting via the preferences form :

Interesting. What was confusing about the pink was sometimes empty cells were highlighted.

Pink is fine, I don't what red as the contrast between background and foreground is less and makes it harder to read.

Trading is soooooo much easier with the new trading tab you added.

It would be Reeeeeeeeeeeeeally Cool if you could show the "City-Size-Increase-This-Turn"............it would make Milking the game so much LESS laborious!

Well, I used to be a programmer/analyst in a previous lifetime and figured THAT change would be mighty complex......unless you were Superman or something!............BUT, since it was looking like you were "walking on water" while handling everyone else's requests, we HAD to know about that Big "S" on your chest!
