Aspyr Media has announced that Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth will be released on Mac & Linux for the holiday season. The game will be available on both Steam and the Mac App Store. The Steam version will support Steam Play, meaning that if you've bought the Windows version of the game, you'll have access to the other two versions as well (and vice versa).
It has also been stated that there will be cross-platform multiplayer support for the Steam version, meaning Mac & Linux users will be able to play multiplayer games with Windows users.
