Unhappy BmptoBic?

I apologize I know this question has been asked before, but I still can't get a .bmp file converted to a .bic file how do I do it?

I use MSPaint to create a map 100x100 using the colour palette which I load in the bmptobic program. I click generate map and all I get is a .bic file 100x100 of plain OCEAN

The Custom Map is checked off but there is no map.

Could I PLEASE have this program explained to me.Thanx

I don't really know even though I use the tool pretty often.
But can you upload the map you made (bmp) ? Then I am gonna try to understand why it does not work and/or make the map for you.

Use the palette of the exemple map packaged with the product, and apply it to your bitmap !

Well thanks but I just figured out my problem. When I created a map I cut, pasted and saved it as a new file. So I guess when I did that my paint program matched the map to the nearest default colour but the bmptobic program didn't register the colours so the map came up empty.

Thanks a lot anyway LouLong and LBPD.
