a bug with food production?
I have a tile with a cow beside a river, after its irrigated and roaded, it produces 4 food, 1 shield and 2 gold. There is another tile with a shield bonus below it, after irrigation and roading, it produces 2 food ( should be 3 ), 1 shield, 1 gold. The depotism government causes a 1 food penalty to the tile with shield bonus, why doesn't it cause that to the cow tile?

The tile with the cow would be a common grassland by the river if there were no cow, no road and no irrigation.
The tile would have a power value of 2/0/1 (food/shields/gold) with nothing added. The cow adds 2 food and 1 shield which would be 4/1/1 but despotism subtracts a food to lower it to 3/1/1 Building a road add a gold output. Irrigating adds a food output so the net result should be 4/1/2 under despotism and that is what your screen shot shows. Last edited by cracker; May 22, 2003 at 10:29 PM. |
