Lightbulb Cultural or Military advantages against other Civs

Do any of you guys out there think that civs should have cultural advantages against other civs that they were stronger against in real history. If not that at least unit advantages.
I was thinking how badly the immortals stood up to the greek hoplites during the Persian wars and it would be more realistic to give hoplites a 2+ defense when defending against immortals. Another example would be legionaries getting a +2 attack against carthaginian units. I don't know, i'm just tossing something to into the open for you guys.

The first Roman siege of the city of Carthage lasted for two years, and nearly ruined Roman economy. It might easily have ended in another way. So, sorry, but I find it a silly idea.

Yes but it didn't and the Romans won. Sure there's a lot of what ifs but the fact is that they destroyed the Carthaginians

I am with the Orc. The game is not meant to "replay" actual history. But I would like to see units getting advantages/disadvatages against other units. For example, Pikemen get an extra defensive points against knights.
