Do you play Civ3 with your kids or younger siblings?

How many players play Civ3 or other strategy game with their kids of different ages or with younger siblings?

Civ3 and strategy gaming seems to be popular enough that it is inspiring various clones and emulators so that youngerkids can do things like they may see their older siblings or parents doing. What do you think of these games as they relate to the future of Civ3 and other Civ type games??

I don't have any kids. So I only play alone or with adult friends. (I almost wrote "play with myself", but then I realised you English speaking people might take it the wrong way)

I generally play the game solo; however, I have taught a couple of 15-year-olds how to play the game.

I am 14 so I don't have any kids yet.
I play alone and like it that way even though real advice will be great out of a 5 year old not a game advisor. I trust them more.

My 12-year-old brother used to think that Civ was boring until I taught him how to play it. Now he plays it more than I do.

I'm 55. My 26 yo daughter sometimes plays SMAX hotseat with me on a LAN. I play Civ3, my wife plays Civ3 and my daughter plays CTP. However, both my daughter and I play SMAX and, occasionally, we'll play against each other (she usually wins because she's much more of a warmonger than I am).

I introduced Civ to my 30 year old daughter when she was about 13 if that is possible. When did the first Civ come out? My daughter introduced Civ2 to her husband and they play each other (PTW) over LAN. OK, I set that up by giving both of them PTW for Christmas, sue me.
