What real unit are these two units modeled after?

I think the bomber is a B-17.

B-17 and the Abrams are what they're based off of it seems.

I was looking at pictures of the real B-17 and while it is very similar, the wings on the real B-17 are a little rounder, but I guess it is still a decent model.

all the original units in civ3 are "cartoonish" too accentuate certain aspects...so they loook like some units, but different..
ie...the battleship...dont u think the guns are a bit too big and the superstructure a bit small in comparison.....

Still, the Battleship is a very good model of an Iowa Class ship, but you're right.

I don't mind the cartoonish look at all. And yes, they tried to make the units a little more generic than the actual vehicles they were based off of.

I prefer the cartoonish look. I wish more unit creators would strive to make their units have that same feel.

It's hard sometimes... the models don't give a lot of room for customization a lot of times.

I know, I have heard that Poser Models can be rather difficult to modify.
But it is a good goal to aim for none the less.
