Start of turn. After looking through cities, and trade oportunities, Press next turn.
IBT: Beijing Settler->Warrior ( For escort duty. ) Xinjian Warrior->Warrior 800BC MOvement and exploration. Discover a worker on auto . Zulu somehow managed to get a monopoly on Mathematics this turn. They have used it to buy into Code of Laws, and they are up 125 gold. Both Russia and India bought in, and are dirt poor. I take it cool, and wait for our Polytheism gambit. 12 turns left. 775 Nada IBT: Beijing Warrior->Settler, Nanking Settler->Worker 750 Continue plans for aggressive poaching. Will settle in hills to secure mountain line. Earn a buck from selling world map. IBT: Shanghai, warrior->Warrior Canton Horse->Horse Xinjian Warrior->HOrseman 730BC Send reinforcement to Hangshow, as barbarian horsemen are swarming the mountains. Note that Nanking need MM every three or four turns. 710BC MOvement and some barb fights IBT:Tsingtao Settler->Warrior 690 More movement. Will continue wishes to try and steal some prime land near zulus. Luxes in Jungle are gone, as Indians settled there quickly. IBT: Russia calls and wants an alliance against Zulus. Tell her we do not meddle in the affairs of inferiors. Beijing Settler->Warrior ( I alternate Beijing between settlers and warrior. Shanghai Warrior->Galley. For ferrying a settler to island, and explore clockwise. Nanking Worker->Settler 670BC Disperse some barbarians for some extra cash. IBT Xinjian Horse->Horse Chengdu Barracks->Warrior, Veto Hangshows Barracks and make it a worker instead. We have lots of hills and jungles. Even though we are industrial, we need workers. 650BC More movement. Exciting isn't it. As usual, I sell around our world map for 1 gold from every civ. ( Doing this as long as our galley reveals some dark. ) IBT: Beijing Warrior->Warrior Hangshow Worker->Worker. Paris completes Oracle. 630BC Found Tatung and set production to Granary. IBT: Canton Horse->Horse India start Great Lighthouse and Zulus start Pyramids. 610BC Macao is founded in the hills near the Zulu lands. Set to worker. Bad things when I check diplomacy. India has acquired Polytheism. We have three turns left. India has not traded it around, so a twofer would certainly be possible. I will leave that decision up to next player though. Summary. Have settler near zulues that can be used to steal cow and wheat. Have settler in Indian jungles that can be used to steal one lux by settling in the jungle directly east of lux. I recommend we start Courthouse->Forbidden Palace in Tsingtao ASAP. We will not get a leaderbuilt Forbidden Palace any time soon, and it will take a long time to build Palace, which may ensure our golden age. ( Or just prepare the site. ) Grimjack. Just a reminder: 2. We can only build our Forbidden Palace during the GA; a prebuild can be ready to go, but a city can not actually be building the Forbidden Palace unless it's during the GA. If the Forbidden Palace does not complete before the GA finishes, it must be abandoned and can never be built (not even used as a prebuild) |

610 BC (0) Change Macao to a temple from a worker. We are going to have a culture war with the zulu. The worker would've completed 10 turns too early. We have logging and jungle clearing too early for my liking will check and see if we can get on some more important. Change Canton to a granary from a horse. Want to use the logging shields for a building. Change Xijing to a settler and will MM later to match production and growth. Change Chengdu to a courthouse to better utilize the forest chop. India already has Polytheism and Math. Shaka and Russia have just Math. Buy Polytheism 3 turns early for 225 gold and 1gpt and WM. Polytheism to Zulu for Math, 50 gold and WM. Poly to Russia for a messly 16 gold and WM. Begin Research on Monarchy at 70%. Due in 23 turns making 1gpt. 590 BC (1): Beijing builds a warrior starts a settler. Tsingtao builds a warrior starts a courthouse. Pushing the settler toward the dyes in the jungle rather than the current spot. The second settler moves to Macao to wait for horses to clearout the barb threats. MM Xinjian to go 2/3 with the hope that the new citizen will work the forest and build the settler the same turn. 570 BC (2): Some more movement of settlers and horses. 550 BC (3): Shanghai builds galley starts warrior. Xinjin builds settler starts Granary. Found Anyang in the jungle close to an Indian city immediately start a temple. Will be whipped later. 530 BC (4): More movement horse are arriving to the West to escort the lonely settler past the barbs. A warrior dies attacking a barb warrior on a mountain. The horse in the area kills a barb horse. 510 BC (5): Beijing builds settler starts warrior. Shanghai builds warrior starts worker. Nanking builds settler starts courthouse. Move a few settlers, north of Nanking. To the west of Macao and southWest of Tatung. 490 BC (6): Found Shangtung in the SW. Start a baracks. 470 BC (7): Beijing builds warrior starts settler. Shanghai builds worker starts granary. Various movements. 450 BC (8): Canton builds granary starts settler. Found Chinan north of Nanking start a worker. Continue to find the best home for out settlers. Hard with all the mountains . 430 BC (9): Hangchow builds a worker starts a barrakcs. Change Canton to a temple the settler doesn't workout . Found Kaifeng NW of Macao. starts a worker. The Zulu's have construction and will not trade. 410 BC (10): Tientsin builds a barracks starts a courthouse. Babylon completed the pyramids. Not much to do. (I) The Indians begin the Great Lighthouse and complete it in Delhi. The Zulu start and complete the Great Wall in Zimbabwe. 390 BC (1) Move the settler to the coast. We can squeeze in another city in the mountains that way. (I) 370 BC (2) Found Ningpo on caost. Moving Galley around to pick up settler. (I) Beijing completes a settler and starts a horseman. 350 BC (3) Move settler to coast to board galley. (I) Not much. 330 BC (4) Settler aboard move to island. Whip Canton temple. (I) Canton completes its temple grows and starts a settler. Xinjian completes a granary and starts a harbor. 310 BC (5) Gally moves to island. (I) Nada. 290 BC (6) Poating founded on island. (I) Shanghai finishs its granary and starts a settler. 270 BC (7) Movement. (I) India and the Zulu sign an alliance against Russia, we stay out of it. Beijing builds a horseman and starts another. Shantung finishes a barracks and starts a harbor. Chinan is done with a worker and goes back for another. 250 BC (8) Moanchy due next turn, drop science, have to up lux to 10% to keep Nanking happy. (I) We get Monarchy and revolt drawing 6 turn of anarchy. 230 BC (9) We now have comtact with America. Trade America Monarchy for WM, contact with the Japanese, 148g and Literature. Trade the Japanese CoL for contact with the Babylonians, 15g, and WM. Trade the Babylonians CoL for contact with the French, WM and 2g. Trade India Monarchy for 450g, Construction and WM. France gets construction for 162g. I then trade our WM to those with some cash left for the rest of the 146g that the others had. We have all the gold and are up at least 1 to 2 techs on most of the AIs. (I) Nada. 1600 AD (10) Sell our WM for the paltry 6g pieces that the AI could scrape together. We are in great shape to come out of the anarchy with enough cash to rush some buildings and speed things up. Good Luck. The save |

IT: America asks us politely to leave. The Indians start the Hanging Gardens.
Turn 1 (190 BC) A-ha, we are the only civ to know the entire world. Obviously I keep it that way! I trade the world map to America for 1 gold. Turn 2 (170 BC) WM sold for 2 gold in total. Turn 3 (150 BC) A barb camp dispursed. America settled on the other continent and now knows the world. Theother civs have nothing to trade, so selling communications makes no sense. Turn 4 (130 BC) WM sold for a total of 5 gold. IT: India starts TGLib. America starts the HG. Turn 5 (110 BC) We are a monarchy now. At 80% science we will get currency in 9 (-18 gpt). Courthouse rushed in Nanking, Tsingtao, Chengdu, Tientsin. Temple rushed in Anyang. Harbor rushed in Ningpo. We still have 735 gold. WM trade gives us 6 gold. Turn 6 (90 BC) Nanking, Tsingtao, Chengdu, Tientsin: courthouse->temple. Anyang: temple->courthouse. Kaifeng: worker->temple. Ningpo: harbor->courthouse. Nanking grows and gets a taxman to prevent rioting. India knows the Republic. WM's for 5 gold. Turn 7 (70 BC) Canton: settler->settler. Temple rushed in Nanking. We still have 501 gold. We make 40 gold trading wm and the last contacts to France and Japan. Turn 8 (50 BC) Beijing: horseman->aquaduct. Nanking: temple->settler. Xinjang: harbor->courthouse. Tatung: granary->courthouse. Paoting: warrior->worker. WM trade gives us 5 gold. Turn 9 (30 BC) Shanghai: settler-> temple. 5 gold from WM's. IT: A galley is redlined vs a barb galley. Japan starts HG. Turn 10 (10 BC) Yangchow founded NW of Tsingtao. Starts courthouse. 5 gold from WM's. We have 476 gold at -24 gpt. Currency is in 3. A couple of civs has Republic, but currency is still unknown. A settler goes south, to the spot where a warrior is fortified. 10 BC save

Barring any miracle Great Leaders I think that Tsingtao is the most reasonable location for the FP. We can get 5 shields per turn at size 5. I figure we are at least 15-20 turns away from getting Chivalry so if we rush a temple and a duct we can prebuild soon and get it in just under 40 turns from now.
Any further out and I think we risk not having a FP at all. I also think we are going to need some libraries soonish. Once we go silent we will not be able make tech trades during most of the middle ages. We may find ourselves in a deep tech hole and will most likely be fighting our way out.

Got it.
We won’t get chivalry during my turn but we’ll get close (hopefully). I’d like to increase the number of horses so that we will be able to get some extra land during the GA. We could start on Libraries as soon as GA starts.

Don't forget to get all of the outlying towns close to the Zulus up to the right size so we won't have to abandon them. I think we are safe, but a quick check would be good. Maybe even merge a worker in to prevent it.

I agree on the FP spot and schedule. Keep in mind also that production would increase a lot during GA even with corruption.

I think we should plan to attack the Zulu during our GA. To this end I sent some workers to build a good road network. Iron needs to be hooked real soon. Please wait for the other AI to dicover Monootheism, buying Feudalism now seems like a waste of money. I increased the number of workers to speed up roads and mine hills. We're paying for the military for it's too many of them but if we allow some cities to grow above 7, we'll get some free support.
