Question How do you Network Computers

I was wondering. How do I network 2 Computers? Dont expect any stats since I dont know the 1st thing on how to connect 2 computers.

Well, what kind of network do you want? A wireless one? A high speed one? Do you want to share hardware or a internet connection?

I assume you want to be able to share files and play games over the network? The first step would be to get the network cards (unless your computers already have them) and a TP-cable connecting them. After that, you need to install protocols and share your files on both computers. The newer windows versions might have a Wizard for it. Things can go wrong though, so maybe it's better to ask a friend who's done it before to help you.

Both my Desktop and My Laptop both have a LAN thingy.

If two of your computers have lan cards than only thing you need is a special network cable called "cross".

You can find it in a computer shop prebuilt or ask someone to build it for you.

Just connect each of the ends to the lan sockets on your computers. You are ready to go.

The rest depends on the operating systems you use.
