GOTM 24 bug?
After I settled I adjusted my science %, either up or down, it still takes 40 turns to complete. Even after I've got pop of 3 no extra science benefit. My net gain changes but not number of turns to complete tech.

It means that the total bakers you need to discover that tech divide by your bakers per turn is higher than 40, which is the max number of turn to discover a tech even if you have a single bpt.
You won't see that figure change until it drops below 40. So, no bug I think -give a look at spoilers, faqs and to the advice of the big players to learn how do direct your research. Have fun!

Yes, let us not encourage the unelightened path of opening threads about the current game instead of contacting one of the masters via PM.
This post did a good job of not releasing any spoiler info but let us still try to follow the virtuous and harmonious way to true enlightment. Meditate on the problem. Read the scrolls of the masters. Feel the power as it permeates the very core of your inner being and brings you peace. If you feel you need help on the game, look at past spoiler threads first to provide you with context and also help you identify knowledgeable existing players. Look at some results of past gotm games and use the top scoring players in those results as totems to guide you. You will find most of the truly knowledgeable players listed in the gotm results and they are always helpful and worth your effort in making a personal contact. Quote:
