Anybody now when the HOF will be back again? I have a killer game in 1945 (8000+ already), and I want to get my name there

Since I'm going to be the HOF Admin, I'll tell you what I know.

After talking with Thunderfall a couple of months ago, it was decidied that the Civ II HOF wouldn't be maintained anymore. We will start a Civ3 HOF once the game comes out. He updated the Civ II HOF with the latest files he had at the time and then told me we won't do a Civ II HOF anymore. I'm hoping we might continue to do one if Civ II still has enough people playing it, but for now, it is closed.

Edit: The Civ 2 HOF was still being updated due in large part to the release of Civ 3 being delayed. In any case, it is Thunderfalls call as to when the Civ 2 HOF will be updated (if at all) in the future.

Its not really a waste because I am sure if you contact TF he will eventually read it and add your score...hopefully.

I didn't bother verifying the games or take any screenshots this time. It's too time consuming and I think 99% of the submitted games should have no problems anyway. I'll let visitors do the checking.

Things are changing all the time.

I'm hoping that even once Civ3 comes out we can update the Civ II HOF every so often, so keep working on your games! If nothing else you can brag about them in the Stories forum.

I've been working on a high score game, too. I needed something to do after getting killed so fast in GOTM VII and IX!

It is a cheiftan level game though...

Well hopefully lkendter has read this thread and decided to complete his game since he seemed pretty demoralized when someone told him that the HOF was no longer being updated but that is in fact wrong.

Well I knew that game was over by 1500AD. I had 35 cities, and the closest computer player had < 15! 5 cities already bribed from India. Plenty of spies to continue, just waiting for cash. Seti program in progress, researching robotics.

At 30 minutes a turn since 1700s, need I say more?

9000 score in 1949 with Hyper growth coming. This could be a top Prince game

Yes, I am continueing the game. Got to do something with the next couple of weeks

Hope you get the highest score to make it worth while. I don't think I could stand playing a game of Civ where each turn took 30 minutes.

Actually, this may be the #1 prince score

The score is already top 3. Since I have dozens of cities is WLoP mode ... Adding dozens of points a turn to high score. All city build is express building.

This was the ultimate board position for later game rush. Just starting taken over in the 1400s.
