My Ancestors were Vikings

Who is causing my war weariness?
I've been here at CFC for over a year and I don't think I've ever seen a post on this, but let's say I have Maximum AI opponents and I'm at war with 6 of them, and I"m in Demo or Rep and the WW is building up. Does anyone know how to tell which one of the 6 is causing the most WW so I can make peace with him? Up until now it's just been a guessing game, sometimes though I'll make peace with the wrong civ and it won't effect my WW one bit, and some of these civs I've had to give them something for peace.

Probably the one that you attack, the one where your troops attack inside there cultural borders....or the other way around. That happened in a SG I am in.

I do not think there is a way to check who is giving you warweariness. But if you keep track of everything we now gives wwp, your guess would be highly educated.

I think I'll put a request in the "utilities" thread to see if anyone can come up with something

A sit'n like that is why I tend to go to war with only one civ at a time--sometimes 2 & occasionally 3--but more often than not, just one. It's also why I tend to stay in Monarchy from the time I learn it, at least until I can secure 8 different luxes &/or build temples, cathedrals & markets in every city &/or secure wonders such as the Hanging Gardens, Sistine & Bach's. In the last game I played, I was a religious civ, so after finishing off my next-to-last rival, I switched to Demo for the turns of peace it would take until I felt ready to start war with my last rival. By then I had enough luxes, improvements & wonders that WW would not be much of a problem till the last several turns of the war. For those last several turns I switched back to Monarchy, then I declared peace because my rival was down to one single-tile island city & it would be about 20 turns before I discovered Marines, so I switched back to Demo, then once I built my Marines I re-declared war & in the same turn got my Conquest vic.

Yeah me too Roxtar, except the game I'm playing now (Tet's "test of time") there are 32 civs, I have no luxuries (Germany) and I went to war with the celts to get their Iron and they brought about 6 other civs into the war with them. Granted I'm still in Despo, but I see this being a problem when I get into Rep, in fact I could switch right now as I got Rep from the GL but still haven't gotten Monarchy yet but I'm afraid to switch, 6 turns of anarchy only to descover everyone is revolting??? No thanks

I never knew that being at war with differant Civs cause's differant levels of WW for each civ. I always thought it was the being in war that caused it.

Another factor may be your difficulty level--the higher it is, the harder to please your peeps are. I always play Warlord, a level I think has well earned its name, for it helps me a lot in keeping order during wartime under Rep or Demo.

No sure way. The best way is to keep track of your losses. Generally, the AI which seems to (1) kills lotsa of yur troop; (2) you are attacking alot; (3) Took some of your cities (including flips I think) is the AI causing the WW.
As an additional information, you can tell how many each of the different level WW you have if you look carefully. E.G. In replublic, level 3 WW causes 1 unhappy citizen for every two citizen. So, your size 10 city gets one less happy/content face than your size 9 cities (i.e. you get one more unhappy point for being size 10 versus 9) |

THat's what I've been basically doing is keeping track of who's killing me the most.
Note to Strider: what aggie said is true, you can be at war with one civ on your continent and another civ on another continent for example, and with civ A the war is particularly bloody, but with civ B you really haven't had any contact, you can make peace with civ A and there would probably be little or no WW even though you are still at war with Civ B.

I think if the AI offers peace and you refuse, WW goes up a bit as well.
I am not aware of any way to tell where the WW comes from but losing units really ramps up the WW as mentioned. |

WW will go up whenever AI attack u... even if they lost... so those who attack u most is the one the cause the most WW...
