if you want to use this graphic/terrain-mod with a saved-game, you need to replace the default terrain-files with the ones from the mod... I haven't installed Civ3 atm, only Civ4, but I think it was something like "Civ3\Art\Terrain", so you need to replace the files there with the ones from the mod "Civ3\Scenarios\Snoopy\Art\Terrain", where "Civ3" stands to the path to your Civ3-Version/AddOn and "Snoopy" means the mod-directory

I followed the instructions that you guys have grudgingly repeated, and I replaced the Conquests/Art file, and overwrote the Terrain and Cities files only. Did it to both vanilla and Conquests...now Conquests doesn't work...I click on the shortcut, the screen goes black, and it goes back to desktop. Then it goes black again, and goes back to desktop...

Conquests just won't start up now! I replaced the original Art file and everything, it just won't start up...what might be the problem?

I think you replaced the whole Art file. If so, then you have to re-install.
If not, then what you have to do is copy the files in the terrain folder in the Snoopy's Art folder and paste it in your terrain folder, which is in your Art folder.

Well I didn't replace it, as all the other files are still there. Replacing it with the original Art file didn't work either, as I had backed it up...

I guess I'll reinstall and see...

Ha, works now. I don't know what the problem was, but I reinstalled and now sn00py's terrain is the default terrain for my Conquests game. And it is AWESOME. I just used the irrigation from another thread that was linked to in this one...

New problem; some of the coastal squares are still the old kind...everything else is fine, but like half of the coastal squares are the original Firaxis style...

Is the 4.5 version the one with the fix for the continuously erupting volcanoes problem? I love the terrain, but the volcanoes are somewhat annoying.

That has nothing to so with the graphics you are using. That is most likely the version of your game.

Well, the way Thunderfall posted it, he posted it as a scenario, so you could keep your old graphics, and use these too. So there very well could be a problem with the biq. If I knew more about modding, I'd help, but I don't know how to do volcano stuff.

First to say thanks for this graphic mod. Makes Civ look much better. You have done an outstanding job.
But is there a version where the ozean is darker (for the non-green version). I find the difference between the sea and the ocean to slight.

Okay guys... Forgive if this is a bump, but I have a question, and don't want to read through 10 pages to find it.

I don't really like the grassland forest. I heard there is a different file that's already included in the download. I've just looked at the files included in the folder and it's either one of those strangely named ones, or I haven't got that particular file in my folder. Please advise. Those trees look very scraggly-like and sick, while those plains forest are nice and full and healthy-looking....

Thanks in advance.

I have one of Snoopy's older forests. It's got the old jungle mixed in only because I didn't like the way the forests and jungle looked alike.
