I cannot play the world

Can I be helped

I am not much of a computer person, all I want to do is to play. To my knolege everything is fine because I can play the game but when I want to play internet players then it goes form good to madness.

I had 1.14 in the lower left corner of my game, i got the 1.14f patch and that did its thing. then when I wanted to play the game WITH the correct CD in the CD pom drive, the blasted computer keeps asking for the corect CD.

Then nobody in the world seems to want to play 1.14f players, because it crashes there computers or something. So after messing aroung for a bit doing I can't remember what I got the game working, with 1.14 patch working....... not I get told by other players that If I want to play with them then I need to get 1.27f patch, back to square one, I cannot get the computer to start the game because it thinks the wrong CD is in the CD rom.

Can someone sugest a few things I can try??

Are you playing from the same drive that you installed on?

Yes I have been using the same drive, both CD rom and HDD. I also checked that the patches were going to the correct drive and folder.
