What happens when the AI captures my workers?
It used to be (I think) if I lost a stack of workers, I could try to capture them back next turn. Now, the AI just kills them. At least it kills mine since a got "worker (Korea)" from Portugal once. Do they really disappear, or do they magically transport to the AI capital?

If I had a penny for everytime this question has been asked... I would have around £5.04.
If the AI thinks it has a good chance of losing the workers it has just captured it will disband them - all. |

Black Waltz is partly correct, but from my experience, the AI's decision making is as simple as this:
On the turn of capture, if it can move the worker out of your territory it will do so, if not - it will disband it. This means that a captured worker in the middle of your territory will be disbanded even if in the same square as 10 MI, while a captured worker just inside your borders will be moved out even if the result is that it will be staying alone, adjacent to 10 of your MA. |
