I'm only playing my second epic game (Monarch) on Conquests and I have the impression that the AI has been improved quite a lot.
It seems to make less stupid movements with its units during wartime and it knows about cultural warfare: After wiping the English from the map I won the race to a part of their territory and built 2 cities. The Celts nevertheless built a city right beside mine and rushbuilt cultural improvements. I investigated the Celts' city and they had no improvement which doesn't produce any culture. I didn't manage to keep up on local culture, because I was short on money at that time, so the territory of my 2 cities is quite cramped since. I've never seen the AI building culture bombs in Vanilla Civ or PTW. I'm pleasantly surprised and quite impressed. |

Jeez, you talk about culture bombs and all I can do is picturing a McDonald's restaurant being dropped from a B-52 bomber into a small third-world nation...

I find the fact that people associate McDonalds with culture to be quite worrying. Nice image though.

Culture is not only things with artistic merit like paintings and music. It also encompasses things with less redeaming qualities. Hmmm... maybe we need a "McDonalds" Great Wonder. Doubles your population growth due to the 'invention" of fast food. A side effect is that your workers are now 25% less efficient due to a rapid rise in obesity.

Cool. They also focus on culture - in a recent game, for example, France probably built 2/3 of the wonders.

More like a weapon of mass indigestion.
I'm sure the article of international law that bans the use of chemical and biological weapons also covers this scenario. If not we better get the UN on the phone.

Maybe, I don't notice the the City Imps, but in one game, I built most of the wonders, I think the AI one got one done before me, or at all...
I did think that it was odd I hadn't flipped a city yet... |
