Start locations
Last game IIRC we had some 1, 10, 50, or whatever it was turns to declare a bad start location. Here's what I have to say about start locations for what we want in general, and a bit about conquests.
If last game were played in c3c we would've had a far better start, as forests would have taken 3 turns (weaker industrious), instead of 5 to cut down. Next, this time lets not be so content with forests, even if they will take less time to cut, and instead hope for something nicer, like grasslands, a river, a cow, and another bonus food. Only if we are the mayans (out of the 3 civs that I suggested), and is building a granary before everything else, would we want lots of forests (4 turns to cut trees down, including movement time, 4 shields needed, would be by a river therefore would have at least 2 surplus food if we worked a forest, therefore 3 spt, so we could creat a granary in 12 turns , cutting down 2 forests adjacent to each other, and one adjacent to the capitol). So lets try to make sure we have some workable food tiles that dont require to get the axe.

We could complain about starting locations in the PTW ISDG? All the things one can learn...
![]() But maybe we could talk about complaining over our start location when the game starts?

I just feel we need to be in the right headspace, and not too eager to start playing.
Any thoughts people?
