Any chance of victory?

I'm playing a game right now and we are in the modern area. Babalon is the most powerful Empire in the world by far, and they are right next to my boarders. In fact Japan (me) and Babalon are the only nations left on the land mass. Across the ocean there are five empires, but none come even close to the power of babalon. In fact when it comes down too the wire Babalons army is strong compared to mine, and yet my army is strong compared to everyother nation in the world. I don't want to send an army across the ocean to rule colonies in fear that Babalon would attack me when my defences were weakend. Not that I would last long if they attacked me now. My ecconomy is going good. Most of my cities have at least a factory and some kind of powerplant, those don't don't will soon. But I can't ever out produce Babalon. I'm making about 73 gold per turn and have a little over 550. Now what I wanted to try and due was too wait for Babalon to declear war on someone, or someone declear war on them. But its not happening. Is all hope lost?

We can't really tell until you post a savegame or at least a screenshot. If things are really desprate and you're willing to do anything to win Rop Rape Babylon. Also get a bunch of alliances and Embargos aginst them with the other guys.

I would suggest that you declare war on a third party and get Babylon into an MA against that third party. Then wait 20 turns for the MA to run out. By then, hopefully, you will have a stronger force than Babylon to take it out. Chances are also that his forces will be all out fighting leaving a weak defense for you to get a initial grab of quite a few cities.

Ok I'll try it but I don't think any force on earth can stand up to Babalon that long.

I doubt it could be in any worse condition than the game in this thread judging by your description. If you can find a way to get the other nations to weaken him then you can do it. Diplimacy is the key at this point I'd say. The only problem is that if you declare war then get everyone else to join you (using the rogue state strat.) then he'll probly go after you first cuz you're closest. But there's a way. What diff. level are you on?

No its not worse then that. But they must have at least 5X the millitary I do. AT LEAST! I played a little and Babalon invaded a nation across the ocean. I will strike soon, I have the largest navy in the world and my grond force will hurt them, hopefully. But what do you think about nukes? When is it right to use them?

I was curious about the nuke question too. . . I either goaded the Mayans into a war, or declared outright. I don't remember which. After we went to war, I got all other AI to decare on them, and it was a dogpile. I launched a first strike, and no one declared on me. So in my situation, at least, having them all declare war on the Mayans 'allowed' me to nuke them.

I did have the biggest military. . .that may have had something to do with it.

I would try and get all the other civs into an MA against the Babs. That's probably your best bet. You can then expand your territory easier than if it was you vs. babs. They'll be concentrating on other things, too.

Well there is only one problem about that. The world is in a war where its Babaylon, Japan, Aztec VS. Iroquois. I was forced into it becuase I have an allince with the Aztecs. There are only two nation not in the war and that Germany and Russia. I have a MA with the Aztecs and Germany, with the Iroquis too that might be enough to put a stop too Babaylons Empire.

I looked at it ans ****! Babylon is huge! Your army is small and youre backward comared to it. You have tanks while they have MA's and Mech's. The only thing I can say is where's Zerksee's?

Well I played a little more and got up the nerve to fight them and well, no chance. even with a ton of there troops over seas I am nothing compared to them. I have replaced the old file with the recent one.
