A good question

Im in a civ game that just about in the 1900 ad's. We just got in industrious age. what happens if it hits the time point and we are not even in modern age?

The game ends just like normal. It doesn't matter what age you're in. If you're in the industrial age however, you won't be able to build the UN ( I think) and therefore won't be able to achieve a diplomatic victory (or a spaceship victory, you won't have spaceship techs until modern).

Increase your difficulty level. Prince or warlord should be enough.
Concentrate in sciencein your first games...
