Cities as gifts?!
I was just thinking...wouldn't it be great if you could offer the gift of a city to another nation? You could give them some dumb city that has no resources, or that has territory lost due to being on the edge of the mapboard. Could you imaging having "white elephant" cities being passed around between nations? Ha ha ha...a little unrealistic, but still...rather amusing at the thought.
P.S. How do you get a picture under your name? |

You can change avatar in the User CP->Edit Options->Change avatar. Not until you have 300 posts can you get a custom one, before that you have to reside to the forum's standard ones. Maybe there's a limit to getting an avatar at all now, but you could check the rules for the fora.

I see no reason to give a city to another nation.
I've you see almost no reason to have a certain city you can always leave it almost undefended. (With the risk that other nations will receive a tech) |

Yah...it was just one of those weird moments where a "what if you could..." came into my head. Still, I think it would be funny to see this unwanted city given to some unsuspecting AI and burden them down.

Isn't there such an option? Or is it a "give unit" option.

"Give unit" is the one you have, and I've only tried it for trying's sake.

I sometimes give away units. I give stuf like meck inf. to a freind that is at war with a much larger opponant. This is done when I can't go there myself, or don't wan't to go.
