Can't build an army!
I'm playing a One-City conquest challenge on Regent level. I just got a MGL from an elite swordsman winning a battle, brought the leader back to my capital (and only city) and I can't do anything with him! THe option to create an army doesn't show up. Is there something I'm missing? Do I need more than one city to have an army?

Yes, unfortunately you need four cities to create an army.

In OCC you pretty much limited to rushing Intelligence Agency or Apollo Program. All the other small wonders are dependent upon having multiple cities.

Can you build 3 settlers and then settle 3 cities (or capture 3 cities) in one turn, build your Army, then disband the cities all on the same turn? I haven't tried it but I suspect it would work and would be within the letter of the OCC challenge, if not the spirit.

Yeah I thought of doing that but decided against it, I think it would be a little like cheating. I used the leader to rush a colosseum instead. Lost the game pretty quickly after that though, it's a tough challenge...

you could mod the game so it only requires one city.

Now that's a good idea...believe it or not I have never tried to mod my Civ3 game because I never found a good reason. This might just be one
Thanks!
