Here are some things that I dislike with civ3. I would like more realism in the game....
Why can’t bombers recon? Unrealistic! It's to good/easy to raze cities instead of keeping them. That cities with foreign nationality can just switch side, with out even fight the troops with in them, is sick! You should not be able to raze big cities; it is unrealistic to just whip out a one million city in no time. Unrealistic! Why are cities losing all their culture when they are conquered? Unrealistic! Why can’t Battleships and Destroyers defend themselves vs. aircraft? Unrealistic! Why can’t aircraft sink boats? Unrealistic! Why is it easier for subs to see subs than it is for ordinary ships to see subs? Unrealistic! Why can you steal techs when you conquer an enemy city? Unrealistic! (This should be an optional rule) Why isn't there an anti-aircraft unit? Unrealistic! Why can’t you build airbases? Like civ2. Why can’t you use roads on enemy territory? Unrealistic! (It's very good that you can’t use railroads! Realistic!) Culture should depend on the size of the city because a city with one citizen can have very high culture influence and that is sick! Unrealistic! It should be possible to choose how common strategic recourses/luxuries should be on random maps. The power/score diagram in civ1/2 is better then this (don’t know what to call it) is in civ3. It’s much easier to compare civs on the old ones. Is it possible to turn of the Governor so that a city continues to build the same thing after it’s finished?? Maybe there are rules for some of these think all ready. Plz tell me!

If you think realism should take place over fun, Civ is not the game for you. Sid Meier places the value of fun over that of realism. |

All these things I want them to change will make the game more fun to play.
I dont think it's fun or realistic that cities lose all their culture influence when you conquer them.... Many thing were better in civ2 (like airbases, tech stealing) :crazyeyes |

Actually, that is very realistic. Surface ships make so much noise on their own they can't hear subs worth a damn.
