Question How to decrease loading time!

I'm testing my WWII scenario and I waited for 40 minutes and it didn't happen anything. Do I need to wait longer or have the game just stopped? How can I decrease initial loading time??

I'm in a very desperat situation, so please help me!!!!

Uh, CivIII is a crap when it comes to loading scenario.

You just have to wait. It could very long. Depends on number of cities, road, ect.

Initial load time is an issue for 3 factors:

How large the map is
How many cities are on the map
How many buildings are in the cities

a large map without the other 2 is a very fast load, but combined with others it is enormous. So if you have a large map with a lare amount of cities that are well developed, that is a huge load time. If the map is anywhere above 225X225 you are probably looking at well over 2 hours.

that's why you play smaller scenarios. larger scenarios aren't necessarily more fun.

Oh my!!! My map is 362x362, so it will take some time. But when I release this, I think I release SAV files in different levels and a fast version with only the PTW extras units and some other changes which is meant to they who don't want to play the full advance version.

I have found a solution. I import a smaller map with cities into my WWII biq file.
