Scenario feedback

I started a scenario for the age of discovery. Similar to the conquest age of discovery, on a world map setting. Also this scenario will begin in 1490's with Vasco De Gama in India for Portugal and Colombus ready with his 3 ships and a group to embark on his journey. All the treasures are in either the east indies or in the new world, ready for the European powers to divide.

Some changes I want to make include lots of new units and possibly a different tech tree. Also this scenario will go much longer than the original AOD, and take you into the late 18th century just before the Industrial age. That way we will have the Colonial age as well.

I have a map (i believe its Rye's map (sp?), I'll check) available with most the nations divided in my last thread(that not a single persone responded to), but it is far from complete. I've also done much more since so I will post a new one.

Mainly what I need now are the following:

Historically Critique:

City locations (some nations I looked up more than on others)
Europe Situation(I'm a bit fuzzy on this)
Asia Situation(Real fuzzy here)

Help finding good units:

I want to add a lot of unique units to this scenario

Tech suggestions:

Any ideas for a changes to tech tree from that period.
1490 - 1776

You did not expect lots of answers within less than 2 hours, did you ?

I can help you for city placement and reality (ancient ones) probably world wide.
But if you posted the biq here it would help me ... and others ... discuss about your project. Without it, it is difficult to tell you anything, you know ?

Exploration.zip

Scenario of Discovery to Colonization: 1490-1776
Heres where I'm at now:

I found a lot of graphics that I want, but i still need the following:

Conquistador with a rifle
Christopher Columbus
Vasco De Gama
Special Ship of the line for England
Any other suggestions for units(i really want to make this period come alive worldwide by giving each nation a real cultural look)?

Map:
I've made some more changes that i will upload later, however the nations that are on the current one are still the same. I need feedback on accuracy.

North America on this map I think could be better as far as terrain(i forget whos map this is but I'll find out tonight). If can tweek this one, so I don't have to start over, let me know.

Civ Advances:
Feedback? Still need to develop this but ideas are appreciated.

Download link does not work.

Besides since I will only help on the cities and in case historical civs, I just need the biq. No need to download a full package with units (just in case that is what it is).

What doesn't work about it? I just tried it and it works. And no, thats not what it is, as a matter of fact. Its just a map.

Also I notice you are in France....as it so happens I didn't reference the French cities too well, so don't be offended by my inaccuracy. As i said, the map is not done and I mainly wanted to set in place the nations in the general area first. But if you could give me the geography on France, that would be most helpful.

A playable version may be ready in about 2 weeks, the political geography won't be all that close, but at least I might actually get some help then.

Well, for Asia, it depends on how many civ you want to put as a limit to keep the game going quickly. At least Siam in Southeast Asia, possibly Annam. India shoudl clearly be divided into states. I least the Mogol empire (muslim, north) and Vijayanagar (Hindu, south). Persia MUST definitively be on the map. You also must find a way to limit easy (and non historical) expansion of the Ottoman Empire down in Africa. Since the center of Africa was msotly unsettled until very late, maybe make it full of terrain classified as impassable. This could also be done for Tibet and parts of Siberia and the Amazon. It would help controlling countries' expansion.

Hope it helps
