I decided I was in the mood to dominate the world. So, I started a game (king, standard speed, standard size) with Attila on a Great Plains Plus map, figuring that would be the quickest route to world domination. I captured the last AI capital on turn 134 (in 475 AD).
And so the question/challenge: Have you won a faster domination victory (on a standard speed and standard size map with 8 civilizations)? If so, what settings (map script, civilization, difficulty) did you use?
I suspect that I could have won more quickly on this map had I remained focused on conquering. I let my own capital build Stonehenge to get the faith for a religion; it looked like I easily had enough battering rams and horse archers to dominate. If I had cranked out more soldiers, I probably could have taken out two civilizations at once and won more quickly. Then again, my first conquest was faster than I expected after an ancient ruin upgraded my starting warrior to a battering ram.
Just in case someone else wants to ride roughshod over a continent, I have posted the initial save.
