Fastest Domination Victory?

I decided I was in the mood to dominate the world. So, I started a game (king, standard speed, standard size) with Attila on a Great Plains Plus map, figuring that would be the quickest route to world domination. I captured the last AI capital on turn 134 (in 475 AD).

And so the question/challenge: Have you won a faster domination victory (on a standard speed and standard size map with 8 civilizations)? If so, what settings (map script, civilization, difficulty) did you use?

I suspect that I could have won more quickly on this map had I remained focused on conquering. I let my own capital build Stonehenge to get the faith for a religion; it looked like I easily had enough battering rams and horse archers to dominate. If I had cranked out more soldiers, I probably could have taken out two civilizations at once and won more quickly. Then again, my first conquest was faster than I expected after an ancient ruin upgraded my starting warrior to a battering ram.

Just in case someone else wants to ride roughshod over a continent, I have posted the initial save.

Sub 100 is the domination equivalent of sub 250 science win. The best I ever had was turn 94 with Alexander, and that was with everything going my way, but that was also in vanilla which was a lot easier to conquer early in.

On G and K the best ive managed so far was turn 115ish, and that felt like it could have been a lot tighter.

There is deity domination challenge thread nearby. The issue of earliest victory is very relative to level. Very relative.

I fully expected it to be level-dependent, which is why I specified that I was playing on king, and asked others what level they were using for their domination victories.

Takarnak just reported a Turn 248 "total domination" victory on deity, which I am certain is more impressive than my Turn 134 domination on King.

Which civ? What difficulty level? (and which would you choose if you were going to try it again?)

My finish time is not impressive of course, but i made my best score so far. The score is from turn 235, year where i took the last capital. I captured 2 last cities 5 turns later.

For fast domination games on pangea you need to build more units than the AI or build more advanced ones. Both of these will provide you very fast finishes.

For continent games you need a better plan than only build units.

That's still quite impressive! And on deity!?! Id consider that to be a great achievement.
Were you always a deity player before this game?

I think i may give this map a go, i'm in the mood for a good old fashioned domination victory, and i bet atilla is way more fun than mongolia!.

if u have a browse though gotm games or deity challenges u ll see sub t150 deity conquest wins, sub t110 conquest wins on continent map and sub t70 wins on king+pangea.

its all about setting .. - and skill ..

 Is it a ''deity'' soup? The spicyest of all? :D
