Are barbs supposed to build nearly 50 new units within 70 turns?

I don't have raging barbarians on. Only barbarian world and barb generals enabled.

Before barbs would only have a few units in cities, now they are attacking non stop. I thought it was a good update until an AI declared on me for no reason at turn 67 and now I think the game is too hard for noob levels.

The AI always have a reason, even if it may not make much sense to us.

This patch is more fun actually. Even though they had dozens of units they would focus on my fortified hills/forest units so you don't need many units to fight them. I was surrounded by 3 barb cities only one of them was massing units. It actually makes fortifying good tiles worth it, in most mods enemies just avoid bad fights which is lame.

The barbs would rotate a bit with a stack as well before attacking so I could prepare. Only a few barbs came from the other 2 cities which some well placed units deal with.

I also set flexible to Monarch by accident and survived. :lol:
