That's fine for some things, but unrealistic to think it will solve our liquid fuels problem. Stuff has to get from one place to another, simple as that
There is no way to make transportation free. It's thermodynamically impossible. It takes energy to move, therefore that energy has to come from somewhere.
With dream-level future technology (like fusion) energy might become cheaper, but it will never be free.
