It was in a time many years ago that the English nation was born on the banks of the Thames River.
Spoiler :

Legend has it that these nomads were led by the noble Churchill in a land where the barbarians were uncontrollable for many centuries. The high tides of the world kept secret another landmass and, as the English would come to find, this small planet of theirs housed 14 other nations.
Churchill had the tribe settle down where they happened to be and so London was built. To the east lay land perfect for sheep herding and to the west was a land of gold, the south promised the mighty ocean and silkworms, and freshwater was plentiful.
Spoiler :

Many moons from that fateful day, a group of English who had refused the notion of settlement met a fellow nomadic group calling themselves Holy Romans.
Spoiler :

They later found the city of Constantinople whose inhabitants referred to themselves as ‘Byzantines.’
Spoiler :
Not long after this meeting, the English people invented the spear and began attempting to herd the local animal population. Meanwhile the nomad group encountered nomads from a land named Korea.
Spoiler :

It is believed that around this time Buddhism and Hinduism were founded; however this would not affect the English people for some time.
Over the next several years, the English people would master the concept of Animal Husbandry, develop Agriculture, and the nomadic group would become legends for fighting off an army of bears and supposedly raiding a village of evil druids. Despite the story’s outlandishness, this group of nomads did become skilled in city raiding.
Perhaps having heard of their fame back in London, the nomadic warriors charged into Constantinople and abducted several laborers as English slaves. For the next several decades this warrior group would hide in the forests and hills of Constantinople.
It was at this turbulent time that a group of Englishmen secretly left the city of London and headed north to the floodplains of Canterbury, aided by the newly created wheel.

Okay then, my first time on Noble though I was a Civ III regent player, this will also be my first AAR(if you’d prefer to call it that) for Civ IV.
Now I’m sure I did something wrong in the playthrough so far, but that’s one of the reasons I’m posting this, I’d be glad to receive criticism.
Also since I’m posting this playthrough I may as well let you have some participation, later on I’ll be willing to let the forum goers suggest what I should do, even if it gets me horribly beaten by a super powerful Shaka or Monty, but right now I’d like your takes on these plans for expansion:
Plan 1

Plan 1 is basically one city of peaceful expansion, but I personally prefer Plan 2.

Plan 2

So Plan 2 involves a Coastal City to grab the dyes and another city to cottage the floodplains, I’ve never managed to establish a successful specialist economy.
The biggest problem with this plan is of course the fact that the Ivory is unclaimed, but I can’t think of a better way to build up there without leaving an uncottaged floodplain for the city, it really makes me wish I moved my settler around first.
Before anyone asks, yes both plans will be preceded by a peace treaty with Justinian, unless general opinion says other wise.

I’m hoping I can update on Wednesday, but if not I will update on Thursday or Friday at the latest. Thanks in advance for the criticism, I know I need improvement somewhere in my playthroughs, mainly with modern age garbage.
