If i would make a nuke with hidden nationality could i nuke anything and not worry about the diplomatic impact ?

If not , then would this, at least, minimize it ?

I got a better question, Would you really want random nukes hitting you and have no way to know who sent it?
Remember the AI will cheat and have a better idea then you who bombed them.
Also, this is not very realistic. No one could fire a missle at someone and have it remain a mystery which nation it was fired from.

No i was actualy talking about the Holy Hand Grenade who will be generated per 25 turns by a wonder called "The Hand of God" - or smthing like that.
So there is no worry about the ai ... anyhow this will be a great wonder so you will be announced who completed it and you will know who will strike . The thing is - if i nuke civA , civs B,C,D, ... and K will be FURIOUS - that is the diplomatic impact i was reffering to .

The grenade will be invisible because the "civ X" didn't use it , it was the will of god (god = the player:D ).

blovdubb you did ????? does it work - is the diplomatic impact eliminated ?

Privateers do? WTF!

Actualy there is a logical explanation to this ... In reality if a country you own would be atacked by hundreds of ships you would like who is the bad person who is doing this , 'cause 100 privateers don't come out of nowhere(they were not this many in my game ... only about 25 aprox). So EVENTUALY you find out ... which is exactly what happens in the game - one or 2 atacks won't upset to much ... but my "privateer - continental blockade" was a bit to much ...

Yes, with Privateers you will many times see the AI get annoyed at you!

But you can see them in stacks or in cities, so you can find out, so it's not a hard to accept bonus for the AI

Acually,in real-life you could fire a missile(not Nuke) and no one would know who bombed your country,as long as the bomb has no markings to re-trace it back. and here's another idea hidden nationality settler.

Hidden nationaly settler is actually an idea I've got for the Kender settler in the DL scenario. They can settle wherever they want even in the territory of another nation.

You can still escort them. Once the settler settled, there is no more HN unit, just a new city (not HN of course) and the AI knows that your city but reacts normally to it (he ignores the fact you shouldn't have settled in his territory).

Hidden nationality. You're right, but in the context of Dragonlance, it works. Who'd want a Kender city in his realm ? If they see some Kender Pionners, they would show in their shiny armor, standing in their way and drove them away (Kender Settler won't have a death animation but rather a dispersion animation). If they see additionnal no-HN units with them, they would ask first to get out.

That's a great idea, Supa.

I've always taken Hidden Nationality to mean not that the unit's origins are genuinely untraceable, but that its government simply denies all knowledge of it. A sort of Bond-style unit. So the attacked country gets angry at the country that controls the unit, but no war results (at least, not directly) because - as usual - "Whitehall denies everything"!

Yeah, I do the same thing in the FF mod with the Turks.... You see, Turk units are generated every 5 turns by the Intelligence agency, Shinra Building (SW specific to Corporate Rep Govt) and Secret Police HQ (SW specific to Commie Govt).

Basically, they are representative of what you are saying... I generally use them to snipe off and/or capture enemy units that enter my borders without a RoP

Since everyone is showing of their hidden nationality units in their mods i might as well join in :p.

In my mod the covert operative (which is produced every X turns at the Covert Ops) has hidden nationality AND can stealth atack EVERY king unit in the game ... It kinda makes you more concerned about them, like in reality, cause every time i play regicide/mass regicide i don't care about the king/s (i only use him/them for exploration early in the game) i leave him/them lying around in the capital or another well defended city ... well ... NOT IN MY MOD.

Now back to the point, didn't anyone do the hidden nuke thingy- blovdubb said he did but he didn't say anything about the diplomatic impact ...
