Turn Discussion Thread I - Turns 1-50

Well I don't know... are those forests pre-chopped? I am looking at the situation and it doesn't look like we will be able to grow enough pop in time to whip a forge.

Are we off track here?

I'll double check the other threads.

* Back...

Ok, I've been doing some more math, but I guess it's optimal to stick with original plan and double-whip forge with a double-chop.

Finish off with another chop for temple and then make up the difference with a little bit of pollution.

After mono... we go Fishing --> Sailing..

I'd also like to whip a forge soon in the capital. Hopefully before we get out Triremes & galleys & settlers. It'll give us a happy bonus besides the increased production.

please no forge in capital... ...we are soooooo close to health cap, that we run stinky at pop 4 i think in capital with forge... ...better a granary for the extra health first, a settler and some escort to get over to the big land to search more health and then think about the forge.

btw, city 2 gets stinky at pop 3:goodjob:

...

cool with the oracle. i will try to do some more simulating tonight

Are we going to need to tech Archery? I would guess that a large unpopulated island will be swarming with barbs and we have no strat resources.

I believe a granery is where the over-flow is currently going into. So don't worry so much!

Turn - 45

The capital is working the second gem tile instead of the food in order to push Mono as fast as possible.

The worker who lost his turn is now helping to get our food improved, 3 worker turns still needed :(

Capital throws OF into granary.

Our little sister city works on forge.

I did another examination. Seems Carthage has not put any spy points on us yet. Also, even if our opponents couldn't figure it was us grabbing oracle from the demo screen, it will be hard for them to miss the fact that we just happened to swing up into first position to co-incide exactly.

Now, when Mono goes, they are going to be wondering WTF is going on at first. The last they'll expect is us since we already founded a religion. So they'll either think we are being very smart, or very dumb.

Man, I miss the days when Shrines would give you vision inside cities that had that religion. That makes it almost worth it.

Nice one on the oracle. Let's hope this whole ambitious plan comes off. :)

reli and shirine are fine, cause we are spiritual AND we can run org.reli soon:p

-> the apo should be another big priority in our planning:)
-> other nations will spread our reli
-> we get the hammer buildings superfast
-> we will have a shrine to profit from all this due to the oracle priest

the apo should be another big priority in our planning

I don't know....

Theo would be expensive too.. we could bulb it, but then we lose the priest for the shrine in the first place.

If everyone else spreads the AP religion, that could really screw us. A lot of voting blocks against us, etc. Hmmmm.

If you really think AP is worth it, then at least we won't have to feel so bad when/if we get that priest instead of an engineer :p

Well stupid me, I thought you were already going off on that 2 week vacation. Never mind... you take over now.

Me and snaaty were debating on something different from double whipping the forge (I think).

So in 5 turns... we may hit another mini-milestone...

I took a quick peek at the next turn. We're still top dog by quite a few points, and Carthage still hasn't put any spy points on us. I bet they'll be quite stubborn and don't be targeting us for ages.

If they haven't put any spy points on us, they must have 100% put on some other Civ. Interesting how they have met multiple Civs so fast.

I think they would need an awefully lot of spy points to do that. I suppose, getting the great wall may not be too much a travesty for that reason.

I suppose if we have the mids, just maybe we could run a few spies after CoL... I don't know.
