you want to go tradition full.. growth of the few cities you are going to have is essential. at some point it helps to go for the one policy in liberty that reduces the cost of future policies. really though in the end you want chichen itza and as many great artist slots as possible.. i had a...
this is an interesting thread. although i disagree with point 2, i play a mix of king and emperor.. and theyre always sending out carriers with bombers and at least one air striker. i would have to agree on everything else and i like the armored frigate idea bro
i agree. while the OP's idea is a good one and would make it more realistic, nothing f*cking pisses me off more than oda on one of his binges. the minute i smell that little rodent in a game i send out my troops to rape and pillage every last little hectare of his . the reason i play this game...
im a king player. i never, ever ever use mounted units. ever. i would imagine they serve a useful purpose. im just starting to get war strategy down and would like to learn about them and start integrating them into my army. where when what purpose do they serve. thanks
theres no stepping down levels. i blast out CVs on prince 10 out of ten times. defenitely improving my strategy and appreciate all the input... i was actually kind of hoping the ai would know that science victory was out and still be smart enough to keep his science up while prioritizing CV methods
sh*t bro unless im trying a diplo victory or im parked right beside an obvious more powerful civ at the time i always declare war for no reason on AIs or decalre war when another AI asks me to. seems 95 percent of the time i dont even come near them anyways... and 20 turns later i get a peace...
i have yet to win a cultural victory on king. im just plain sick of getting within 5 turns of building the utopia sh*thole, and then agustus ceasar popping out 3 spaceship parts in those 5 turns like a little snake. if i uncheck science in the list of victory possibilites does that even matter...
as well, i always make sure ive got a coastal city sizing up early in the game, i plant all my great artist landmarks there as well, upon finishing freedom landmark culture output doubles, and this is all in prep for the sydney opera house which gives a huge boost near the end.
None of this is ideal but at least I can play now. Hope some of that is helpful.
thx bro. ya got all of those covered except gna update my video drivers. appreciate the tips. haha so jealous when i see screenshots and theres detail in the ocean
i play on a laptop. its about a year old. standard hp laptop. around turn 300 game turns to .. soooo slow. ive messed around with the video settings but i dont even know what some of the options mean. anyone play on a laptop and has had success with a certain configuration?
i am a king player, and no matter what if i dont pick up the great library the game seems almost useless to me. i was wondering if there is a way to make up early for that loss.. or perhaps somewhere not too far after the timeline. thanks
