    culture wonders

hey, sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I'v been all through the civilopedia and these forums and can't find a clear answer anywhere. How exactly do the culture wonders work? I', currently playing as the Greeks under Alexander. I picked up the Greek culture, and later noticed a...

    March Patch Notes (formerly february)

I like seeing so many balance mod changes being implimented into the base game. Hopefully it gets to a point where talented modders no longer feel the need to work on balance mods and can work on adding new content and features. :D

    CCMAT II - The Quickening

just wanted to say thanks for working on this mod. I was having problems with the unit panel thinger not showing up until i deleted the Liberation Boost (v1.11) mod, everything seems to be working great now. finding working mods on the modbrowser right now is like playing russian roulette...

    natural wonders a bust?

of all the things that could be complained about, I did not expect to see Natural wonders get thier own thread :P considering that most natural wonders irl and basicaly just oddly formed bits of rock, I really wouldn't epect them to have a huge impact. a tourism commerce bonus would be nice...

2civ DLC pack is coming in december!

So i was concerned that next Monday's mongol/babylon DLC releases would count as the 2civ DLC that i paid for as a bonus from D2D so i sent them an email asking if I had wasted my money on something everyone was getting for free, here's the response: Hi [deleted], The promo they are...

Place your bets! The next DLC Civ coming out is...

the two are not mutualy exclusive, DLC civs are mostly art, the code isn;t that complicated. modders on this very site are turning out tons of civs, its the art that takes time and resources, and thats what we pay for. DLC like this isn't going to impede patching in anyway, so I wouldn't...

    4,99$ For Babylon

except making new civ's for DLC doesn't really take much in the way of programing time. I'm sure they have a guy that can knock out the code in a half hour. its the Art that takes time, that's what we are paying for. the leader heads and UU art. it takes time, and imo its worth the money...

i never build more than 4 workers anyways, don't really need more unless you are swapping improvements alot or have a ton of cities, AI builds WAY too many.

    Civ leader quirks?

Wu likes to stab you in the back, she has asked me to go to war with her only to make peice with the first target and DOW on me as soon as possible several times. she pretends to be all nice and then turns on you when she sees weakness, don't trust her!

    How important are toroidal maps?

is that where you can move up and come out at the same spot on the bottom? so the map is cylindrical both ways? i never rreally liked that, it just felt wierd. i would be all for a propperly spherical map, but the way torroidal maps worked in IV always left me scratching my head a bit.

    Procylon's Call to Power Project

here it is on the civfanatics forums its quite good so far and coming along nicely, some balance issues to smooth out, but quite fun to play and different enough from unmodded civV to be refreshing and interesting.

it seems like i start next to hiawatha 95% of my games on the Small continent mapscript, dunno if mapscript has anything to do with it though.
