It seems that they have tweaked Spain after all: now inquisitors removed 100% of others religions. Updates are always welcome, but for me Treasure Fleet bonuses must be recalculated or increase that +4 combat vs other religions in order to make a difference.
With all due respect, saying that Hungary or Ottomans (for example) are not necessarily better than Spain or France feels like we are talking about two different games.
Thank you for answering.
Really disappointing. Many of the GS Civs are close to be OP and they leave possibly the weakest of the Vanilla Civs untouched. Very poor balance in my opinion.
I know that it is very unlikely, but it would be nice to see the return of the discarded Isabella of Portugal as a second leader for Spain or even Portugal (I know that she never actually ruled Portugal but considering Firaxis, who knows...)
If the devs don't update every single vanilla civ, it would be a huge disappointment. GS changed the game vastly and right now most of the old civs look obsolete or simply underdogs.
Glad to be right (along with many others colleagues, of course) about the one leader for two civilizations theory.
Happy also to see at last a beautiful leader. Not every female leader has to be pretty, obviously, but I was starting to wonder if it was a deliberate policy of Firaxis avoiding...
If you are refering to piracy in general, it was a problem but not as harmful as English Historians often repeat. Recent studies (Martínez Laínez and others) have counted 107 ships sunk by pirates between 1540-1650 from more than 11.000 ships that made the American voyage (that's only 1%).
If...
If Eleanor of Aquitaine is one of the new leaders, I think that the devs will give us the choice to play with her as France or England. It would be an original way to give both civilizations an alternative leader. It is only a wild guess, of course. I have no information whatsoever.
