This seems like the way to go, I always preferred razing AI cities in Civ IV anyway because they were never very good at optimally placing them. I think the courthouse could really do with being a LOT cheaper, at least in terms of hammers (20+ turns on standard? Really? :()

Aye, but it's a choice I appreciate having, usually when I want to wipe out/cripple a particular civ but don't want to overexpand in doing so. I realise the domination victory depends on capital cities being unrazeable, which is one reason why I prefer Civ IV-style domination/conquest. :p

Oh yeah, religion spam and the culture slider too of course. I'm forgetting how to play IV already. :p

That's exactly my point. I want to be able to raze ANY city I want. I don't want there to be any cities considered so 'special' that I can never get rid of them. Note I hope this doesn't sound like I'm whining because I do LOVE this game, this is just one little thing that really bugs me.

True or false? I just got a pop up after capturing a city with marble in its radius that this gives me a bonus to wonder production. Thing is, I had marble by my capital and never got the notification when I built a quarry there, and I can't find anything about this bonus in the Civilopedia...
