You can change time of day in game. I though all Firaxis did was change the default in GS?
I happen to prefer it a bit drabby. I use a mod which makes the default the Dark Age lighting.
Deliverator has a mod which brings it closer to the original...
I like the restrictions in this case. It would look weird to have several dams on the same river, and knowing the placement restrictions you can plan it all in advance.
I just need to make sure I build an IZ and the Aqueduct in the tiles I want before I research Niter.
Or maybe it's because it's easier to do it for a single ruleset. The purpose of it might just be to signal to the community that the game is "alive".
Why would people who aren't committed enough to the game to acquire any of the expansions play these scenarios? I think the players more likely...
It's odd that there's nothing on twitter.
Seems like too much activity on fosse for the last months only for a "game of the month" type of thing.
Update Context for Legacy depot:
27th September / Game update on 27th September
29th August / Game update on 29th August
18th May / Undocumented update 18th May
18th April / 18th April 2023 update
You get the idea.
Edit: though always along with an update to the public depot on the same day...
Legacy got an update. Would it be correct to interpret a release is likely to happen very soon?
Though I had never noticed before legacy specifically requiring to be updated. I thought it happened automatically whenever public gets updated.
Historical 4x games are inevitably going to attract attention from people with interest in history. That includes all, from people with advanced knowledge in a subject, to nationalists infatuated with their particular national mythology, to even those whose interest in history doesn't go beyond...
People always mention the DLL but not so much the missing assets. If given the option I'd frankly much prefer the latter, as it is something I can actually make use of, and it would probably be of greater benefit to a wider pool of modders.
I've got an approach but it's a bit extreme and I do it out of necessity.
Instead of setting aside time "per day", I set periods in advance, usually some time in the summer and in December, to play games (mostly Civ). During those periods I allow myself to indulge a bit in it.
That's not prophet's math though. You've got to use prophets math.
