    Sengoku-mod - Feudal Japan Mod/Scenario

When playing as Ikko Ikki I captured the Daibatsu but when I built sohei there they weren't getting meditation. Also curious why the hatamoto units for samurai civs are given cavalry icon but treated as melee unit? Really enjoyed conquering up to connect to Kaga and I keep getting free rebels in...

Soapbox: Human Beauty and Human Struggle

This reminds me of a book I read, it delved into understanding why people feel isolated from others in society among other things. The author is optimistic as you are about people being able to find the answer. It's online at www.ascentofhumanity.com/text

Genetically Modified Food Products: Safe or not?

Thank you Baal, someone else knows about the economic consequences other than the scare tactics. Considering how many growth hormones, pesticides, and medical byproducts that are used in farming I wouldn't worry too much at this point about our food being "pure" or "natural." I'm very worried...

    Pie's Ancient Europe

When I fire up the beta v I'm not getting any buttons or interface to use. On the plus side it got me to try out the f keys.

Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

There's another way to keep your eastern empire secure without conquering Persia. Give those useless cities(pretty much any non-coastal one east of Trebizond and Antioch) from corruption to Armenia and Persia won't be able to resist attacking them. Then you can move in and attack their forces...

The Rood and the Dragon - the Anglo-Saxon scenario

They only get a 3 defender so it's easy to take their VP locations in Scotland but I don't remember there being anything worth conquering in Ireland. The Saxons have to wait forever to get an amphibious unit to capture their wonder as well which is obsolete at that point. I usually am not able...

Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

If you look at the units in the editor it will show how parthians/persians require ninive and csetphion(sp lulz) to build their cavalry units whatever version they are at. If they lose those resources in any of their cities they then can't build cavalry there but build an "inferior" unit that...

civIV Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire (RFRE)

When I got to Hannibal I almost crapped myself  but luckily his slow movements allowed me to assemble enough ballistas/legios to take him down. At that point half of my army was in northern Italy and half in Iberia. Hannibal had managed to take 2 cities before his death. His appearance kept...

Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

Only portus mercatorius do sea trading and they can't be built until Commerce. Some cities start out with them but have that chance of being destroyed when conquered.

Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

I just finished my first complete game with a few alterations of the hard map on consul. I turned down the spawn rate on Incursors and removed the Scythia-Germania alliance. Even with those changes I was barely able to compute some of the turns...anyway here are some pictures...

Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

They want to increase the Pict movement so that the ones moving from the capital don't stop right outside of Hadrian's Wall waiting to be killed.

    Midgard fantasy mod

Bats only have a rate of fire of 1 so they have a hard time getting their lethal bombardment off. The Stygians are meant to be a powerhouse so that even if you organize alliances against them they won't be defeated but you still need to prevent them from winning the several easy possibilities...

Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

Question, has anyone ever seen the comp actually make the Cimbri/Tuetones/and the third one I forgot wonders? I went into the map and removed the resource requirements but they still didn't get made in my latest game.

    Star Wars: The Clone Wars

I loved it being such a large map but Seperatists need to start out with atleast twice as many units(if not more). As the Republic I was able to steam-roll through their territory even with my groups that didn't have armies. Before 10 turns had passed I was up to high 50's land and high 60's...

Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

Consider Hispania to be a test for your later game conquests. Dacia, Gaul, Britain, Germania south and north of the Rhine all require you to build roads while you are at war, not after it is finished. You need to be able to use your army to build the roads so that you can outmaneuver some pretty...
