When playing on TSL earth map I tend to try and stick to the historical borers or expansion of Civs. That and I occasionally try following the leader's agenda.
It feels like it might be a bit early for Civ7 just yet. There's always the field of economy and commerce that Civ could explore in more depth.
Also, while not exactly a powerful argument for another expansion, it would feel a bit odd if Civ6 would never get Portugal and the Byzantines in the...
While the U-Boat is iconic there are definitely better options for WW2 units they could've chosen. I guess the Bf 109 is out since it be awkward if both US and Germany had a unique fighter but other options could be:
Me 262 - replaces jet fighter and is available at an earlier tech/civic...
I believe his point wasn't about the HRE not being Germany but that the U-Boat just doesn't fit too well thematically. It's really great that medieval Germany is the focus of the civ this time. Yet for some reason Germany gets a completely out of place modern era naval UU.
Yeah the U-Boat is kinda weird. It's a naval UU for a traditionally land based civ and doesn't remotely synergize with the Hansa or Holy Roman Emperor. But overall the representation of Germany this time around is quite nice.
Hunagry looks awesome. Really looking forward to playing them. Also really liking Corvinus design. It's so nice to see so many medieval and renaissance leaders in the game.
I fully agree that this era is great for UUs. Before we knew what Germany's UU will be I was kinda hoping we'd get the Prussian grenadier UU this time.
Well, I'm honestly hoping the first video will be the Byzantines so that both leaks end up false and we can go crazy speculating who'll be the new civs this expansion.
The musketman in civ terms is essentially any infantry armed with a firearm from 16th to the middle/late 19th century. I wager Firaxis uses the term musketman over say fusilier or line infantry because most people know what a musket is while the other two are more technical terms not commonly...
Ottomans seem like a good candidate for two UUs if the plumed horseman is really a Sipahi. I expect the Sipahi would be located between the knight and the tank. Maybe tie it to some civic like mercenaries. Janissaries could replace the musketman. That would of course make the Ottomans quite a...
I'll still play vanilla Civ6 since I never really got to getting R&F and now I can just wait until the next expansion. I won't need R&F for GS to run though, won't I?
