  • So...if i was descartes i could think i was invincible, and then become invincible? Awesome. Lol.
You could always just make the tactical combat bewteen you and nuke. It would be more like a chess game, and the fleet commanders you represent could give you an objective, such as destroy the battleship then retreat, obliterate the entire enemy fleet, cripple and retreat,
destroy as many enemies as you canm before losing 2 ships....

Also have you seen my new game? It wont start for a while, but signups are open. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=9482190#post9482190
The main issue is that I can't refine the tactical combat and I want to keep the micro of ships. I could conceivably eventually find a way around it, but ATM Colonization is what I'm really up for.

You've never played StarCraft? I've never played the first but Nuke has. We've both been on the second recently. It's one of those games that defined modern RTS.

Well - I'm on DayQuil right now . . . as Nuke can attest to . . . it makes me a little wacky.
Have you seen Colonization yet? It's the spiritual successor to Galactic Empires, which I'll probably never get back to:(.
You might as well call me a believe in socialist in RL. I mean I'm more leftist than Gandhi. And the idea is not at fault, rather the way it was impleted in the USSR, and to an extent China, as well as Cuba and stuff. There has never been a real socialist state as defined by Marx and the like idealized.
Yes they are Communist right NOW, but you fail to grasp my statement that the sum total of Chinese history far outweighs the brief period of Communist rule ATM.
I'm posting it here because I don't want to spam up the thread:

QUOTE: "I dont know about germany, but i dont like china so much because they are commie in RL, and mao zedong is in the game when he shouldnt. I dont like commies."/QUOTE

While I agree with you on the Communist part, this reason for China hating is quite irrational (for lack of a better word). When you consider that it's the longest continuous civilization in the world (4000+ years) and the many contributions it's made to philosophy (Confucius), science (the compass, metal casting, gunpowder, paper), navigation (Zheng He), and military science (Sun Tzu) that, to me, far outweighs it's 60~ years of Communist rule.
In fact, it's fair to say that China is arguably one of the most important civlizations in history.
While the reason does make sense in-game, in OOC terms it just turns players off IMO. Turn-by-turn should be during important parts, like settling new cities into the unknown, or war time IMO.
