Post - Patch you can turn off culturally linked starting locations. You can do this from the game options menu on the main menu before you start a new game.
If this was a game that was started before the patch, then after the patch is applied some strange things happen to the waste. However if you start a new game the waste system should work properly.
If a unit which is elite wins battles there is a chance that it will become a great leader. If you then take this to a town then it can be used either to rush a wonder or build an army. (Which 3 units can be loaded into) (4 with a certain wonder I think the pentagon.)
If you build the spaceship after 2050 or after you have won then at the point when you would launch the spaceship it just makes the spaceship menu disappear.
I agree you situation was not great but in wars in the real world troops are not removed just because there is war. Anyway you can use this to your advantage to attack the computer.
I said the F 15. Because by the time it arrives you have allready really won or lost the game and if the game goes on that long your score would be really low anyway.
I really like the babylonians as they are religious and scientific.
This is really useful if you are trying to win with culture as scientific and religious buildings are cheeper. Also religion reducing anarchy between governments to one turn is invaliable.
