    .amb files?

    In civ3 the .amb files are used to control the sounds. However, it´s not possible to simply edit them with a text editor, or you will get strange results like dog did. (in my case I would also need to be able to edit the interval between the sounds)

    Well, this was a fault of mine. :rolleyes: The run sounds are not used in the game. However, all you need to do is rename them to 'MarineRun...wav'. As you probably already noticed I corrected that in my latest units. ;)

    Are you sure this is the result of the altered .amb file? How did you make those files? When I open one of the original .amb files I only get a lot of black dots and other weird letters (only the name of the .wav files are readable). I need to edit those .amb files to make the game play...
