    Who declares war on Pleased?

I know this isn't on topic, but in my current game, Shaka got the Pyramids (!!!) and immieitly went Police State. Now he's got 2 vassals, and some of the AI's are scared to war with him >_> Never thought he'd get the Pyramids lol (never saw a warlike civ get it ala Monty/Ragnar etc) On topic...

Peace Treatys and AI War Planning

So although I'm a Warlord scrub, I recently started playing with Aggressive AI, and previously was quite used to using the "beg for 1 gold" trick to cancel an AI planning war against me, which iirc always worked, but ever since turning on Aggressive AI, they always just wait for the treaty to...

    Who declares war on Pleased?

Pretty sure AI only demand tribute at caucious or below. So someone shouldn't be surprised if they get DOWED on after refusing a tribute demand :P

    Best AI leaders

Hah, Russia tends to do well in my games (dunno about Stalin but Cathy/Peter seem pretty good), but yeah I never see America do well. They always get gangraped by everyone lol. In my current game Roosevelt is currently at war with 5 dudes, and I had nothing to do with it o_o

    Most aggressive AI?

Hammurabi annoyed to me to no end when he refused to do anything except try to gandhi his way to victory. Now I know not to bother allying with him ._. His traits are counterproductive to his playstyle lol. Did Firaxis accidentially put Gandhi's code on him?

    I hate Zara Yaqob

This! Even worse, Mansa accelerates everyone's tech rates as he'll trade with anything that breathes. Shaka's okay though, just don't be his neighber :P Zara..........at least it's easy to sick him on others. Then he vassels them Every time How?!?

    Scorched earth policy?

Yup. Bismarak is a fantastic vassal because he adopts nationhood. Mark a city and he'll take it.

    Can AI ask for peace?

Me either. And I've played a lot of Civ 4. Maybe he meant that the AI "begged for peace" by offering techs/money for peace.

    Rivals you must eliminate

If popular aggressive civs are my neighbers, I try to kill them before they kill me. It would be typically too expensive to keep paying them off to stay off my back via other wars. But if they're not my neighbers I like to keep them around for war bribes. Either they keep the pesky tech whores...

    Best AI leaders

Willem's a prick. Hard to get involved in wars, because you have to be friendly and he only goes in if he hates the target, yet unlike Gandhi he's not hated by warmongers. Also doesn't peacevassal. And actually builds some military. Not much but enough to keep others off him. In other words...

    DoW without WHEOOHRN

I pretty much mean 1 unit total :), yes stacking a few units on border cities greatly helps deter instant invasions, as they'll have to take a few turns preparing to build something, in which case beg for 1 gold to save yourself :) edit: Someone corrected me. Didn't know about the dagger...

    Can AI ask for peace?

I've never seen it. I've always had to initiate diplomacy. However there's a couple random events that allow you to force peace (tending to wounded soldiers on battlefield is one).

Peace Vassals, how do they work?

    1. Some AI's are super stubborn to capitulate. Gandhi will do so easily. Good luck getting Genghis to do it. 2. If the AI has a military stack somewhere (maybe he can't get the stack to his borders because they're stranded somewhere blocked by an AI's closed borders), then they still have a...

    DoW without WHEOOHRN

Happened once or twice to me. Very rare, but happens if they are already powerful (little need to prepare) and you're PATHETICALLY weak. You gotta have 1 archer in your capital for this to happen :P

    Scorched earth policy?

Interesting idea, but dosen't work in Civ. Civ already uses the scorched earth policy naturally. Attackers can't use enemy roads or resources until they control multiple cities in the area for several turns (cities are mostly uselesss right after capture). If you can't fight him head on,then...
