im just a bonehead. I didn't think that the sub policies (like Legalism) were something you picked... I was just picking Trad, Honor, Liberty etc. Unlocking the trees not the policies. It all makes more sense now. Maybe I should read the civilopedia.
hmm... this could be why im getting destroyed on Prince... im not adopting the policy itself? im picking the policy trees not unlocking anything underneath? man i suck at this game. :confused:
i've been playing as the Iroquois and i get into this weird situation where my culture has exceeded my available civics... and the game won't let me advance a turn without adopting a policy. Is there a keyboard shortcut in civ5 to end a turn? it used to be alt-enter or shift-enter but that...

my question is how does multiplayer work with a hand held? does it go through infrared or wifi? do you have to be in the same room as your opposition?

Im just getting decent at Civ3, finally won my second game on monarch (thanks in no small part to the tips of the good people here) - is anyone else in the same boat as me for whatever reason not ready for Civ4 when it comes out? I think i am going to stick with this version for a few more...
what are people arguing about last time i checked my copy of Civ3 (Complete) you could play as the Iroquois, Maya, Inca and Aztecs - all native to "Americas" - if they aren't in the stock version they will be in the expansion pack. Chill out.
a highly respected professor at my college (masters program) recommends not playing video games at all but if you do play - play Civ because it teaches you to think strategically. :goodjob:
