There were only a few times I built any fortresses... Usually when I'm desperate.... Push the enemy out as far as I can. Get a peace treaty followed very closely by a heavily defended coastal or mountain pass line of forts.

Never actually played a domination game... The few times I DID go to war as my peaceful culture/sci civs, I had the tendency to create an army of archers with a few melee units to act as support in the front. With this post in mind, I think i'll go ahead and try a domination game.

That's true... Then we would have Thai people complaining about the game being rude and vulgar.. lol

Being Thai myself.. Gotta say I love this story. One thing that grinds me though is the fact that they use modern middle-class Thai as the language instead of using a a more dated version of high/royal Thai.

I think it helps if you're on better terms with the civ you are hiring than they are with the intended target. One thing though, I think you just outright cant convince a far weaker civ to attack a superpower... In my last game, I couldnt get itty bitty carthage to attack Austria at any...

Now to start the one civ I never missed out on playing on any Civ game... Mongols... My favorite civ since Civ1
