    Dawn of Civilization General Discussion

I prefer chopping down every forest in the first ring of tiles around every city, in order to quickly push the production and to deny defense bonus to Mongol army, then, from the 12th century, I build up a huge amount of lancers, who will be very effective to defeat Mongol units and, if you...

    Suggestions and Requests

A simple question: has Frederick II aka Stupor Mundi a worthy place in the mod? Was he included anywhere, such as great people or civ-specific ranking lists? If not, I think it's a huge absence.

Unit balance: Units that are overpowered or underpowered?

Ballistas are useful. Check my Roman game guide, if you want https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/rome-hardest-uhv.664738/ "Ballistas are the 2nd UU for a purpose; I would have never had chance to make my conquest in Africa, Egypt, Greece and Anatolia in 150 years without them (bombard city...

    Resources and Resource Spawns

I'd like to propose a rice resource spawning in Piedmont (Italy) in the 19th century. I recall that this spawn is scripted in the current versione of the mod, in order to represent the most important rice cultivated area in Italy (50% of national production is here, page 6 from this report) and...

    Alternative Map during 1.18

Just a micro-suggestion for Italy: Tianjin tile because of this.

    Civ-specific ranks collection thread

IMHO Queen VIctoria deserves top-4 place. During his kingdom, British Empire reached its apogee. Looking at the list below: 1) Queen Elizabeth I 2) Alfred the Great 3) Henry II 4) Winston Churchill 5) Queen Victoria I'd easily switch Henry II with her.

    [Development] Alternative Map during 1.17

I'd really like to see an oranges resource in Sicily, maybe outplacing the olives one. Sicily is the most dense area in Europe for citrus production. During the Roman period, citrons and lemons were rare and cultivated mostly in the Vesuvius area and Calabrian coast. oranges came later in the...

    Suggestions and Requests

I think that Roman UHV2 could be more demanding about expansion. I'd like to see Rome fighting with Parthian/Sassanide Empire, having 2 or 3 cities in the Middle East. I wrote this because I've recently found Rome a quite easy civ to play, as exposed here

    Rome: Hardest UHV??

I come back here after more than a year, testing another Roman game updated to the most recent Git version. I confirm that Rome (Monarch/Marathon) is quite easy. Thanks to advanced start, now I can have two precious libraries immediately in Rome and Milan, I think it boosted my research rate...

    [Feature] Additional Wonders

I think that an iconic wonder for Totalitarianism that, unlike previously proposed Volkshalle or Palace of the Soviets, was actually built (even if finished only after WWII) could be the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana aka "Square Colosseum" placed in Rome in EUR district - a monumental district...

    Dawn of Civilization General Discussion

I find very useful causing a revolt to reset city defence before attack.

Start from Play Now testing phase

I've had the same issues (All 3000BC games start with some python exceptions and generate a flat map of grassland. Starting 600AD instead just closes the game) with Windows 10 as well. I give up for now, I'll try in the near future.
