    Multiplayer Challenge (Ape Island)

This challenge is for players who don't have a lot of time but still enjoy civ2. It is a simple scenario that strips the game down to battle tactics quite quickly. The map is four square islands close together, each with equal access to a pond like playing field with a central island...

    Diplomacy Options

No I idea at all. Please keep us posted when you add more diplomacy options, they might fit really well with Ape Island.

    Active players ?

Sure, try me. I have an up to 4 person battleships type scenario I like to play called "Ape Island". It's good because it takes only two or three hours and is operationally challenging. Still, occasionally can fit in some regular civ. Just e-mail: 3george33@gmail.com

    Multiplayer Challenge

The two pictures are adjacent to one another. An island from each corner of the 1st map sits just outside each corner of the 2nd map, given the map is continuous of course. If one divides the 2 pictures into 4 columns, the inside islands (2nd column) match with the inside corners of the 2nd...

    Multiplayer Challenge

This challenge is for players who don't have a lot of time but still enjoy civ2. It is a simple scenario that strips the game down to battle tactics quite quickly, though the tech race is very important. The map is four square islands close together, each with equal access to a pond like...

    Multiplayer Contact Information

Right...I should add...the game is played with 2 minute time limits...there are 80 turns or so in the game. After 40 turns can go to 3 minutes. There is actually a lot that can be done in every turn. Experienced deity level players who can set aside a full 2.5 hours for a game are more than welcome!

Let's discuss the Zoom to home city trick

Nice...with all of those micromanagement tricks you should try Ape Island...:cooool: every turn counts in that game, especially if you are playing against people.

Hi, I am also a longtime civ 2 player, since the 90's. I find it amazing that I still play civ 2 MGE, that the only game I play is Civ2 gold MGE. What a gem! Future GOTM Map Suggestions

I too have played a lot with the map editor/generator and have never figured out how to get a lot of hills? IN the in game map generator it's common to get a map that could be 60% hills (so it seems) but with the map generator it's tough to get 2% or even 3 % hills? Tips?

    Future GOTM Map Suggestions

Random maps certainly do add an exciting element to the game. Of course custom maps can also be very interesting to play, especially once all the players know the advantages and disadvantages of the map. I've recently put together a scenario with a map that seeks to give each player the...

Ok. I'm one of those people for whom civing can be a complete time suck (like Ian Banks, apparently  ). So I've tried to create a scenario that is over in 2 or 3 hours but still provides some key elements of the civing experience (using the talented works of the many unit artists out...

If you are both in economics then there is a high probability that the marginal utility you can expect to receive from each successive turn during a game of civilization will increase significantly if you are playing my scenario "Ape Island" relative the marginal utility you can expect to...
