    found religion crash

A problem i've had twice now is that when i discover Hinduism, it isn't founded in any city. At the time, i've only had one city, but when i've discovered the third religion it is founded in my one city. Has anyone else seen this problem, or is it a 'feature'?

Firaxis - How many is sufficient???

 I've never minded culture flipping in the past as I normally make more gains than loses. In my current game (regent huge pangea 16 civs (9 left)) I am currently attacking Russia. I took Minsk which was on the border between myself (Babylon) and Russia. I guarded the city with 2 armies...

take over or raze the city

It depends on the situation. I voted take over as I do that more than razing. In the early stages I take over for expansion reasons. Later in the game I will raze if they are nearby and move settlers over to rebuild in better locations.

    I want a Wartime Palace

My mistake. I see the point you are making now.

    I want a Wartime Palace

bobgote You seem to be missing the point. If you own an enemies palace, it reduces the amount of resistors in an city you take over from that civ and it reduces the chances of that city flipping back to its original civ. It could also increase the productivity of captured workers to the...

    I want a Wartime Palace

I don't mean that it keeps your enemies happy, I mean it keeps your enemies that live in your cities happy.

    I want a Wartime Palace

What would be nice, is that if you captured an enemy palace, it wouldn't do anything for your existing pop. but it would keep you enemies happy. By this i mean when you take over an enemies city, there are less resistors and there is a reduced chance of that city flipping back to its original civ.

Does the rest of the world hate you?

In my current game. (Warlord English Huge Pangea) The Egyptians demanded 4gpt. As i didn't want a war at that time, i paid. What happened, they declared war on me anyway. What was i supposed to do about that. Say i'm not going to give you 4gpt, have 10gpt instead. I don't think so.

The single greatest problem with "civilization" games

Cultural victory is not always easy. I always spread my cities out so that they all have maximum growth potential. This means not many cities in a fixed area. The AI will build approx 50% more cities in that area, which means 50% more temples, libraries, etc. This means the AI can produce 50%...

Dirty rotten Trick or a great tactic?

Its a trick I use about once or twice a game. In civ 2 I used to start building the same wonder about 20 times and just kept swapping one over every time I made a new discovery. They've put a stop to that now as you can only build each one once  Using the palace is the only way i've found...

    Computer Freeze at Space Launch

First time I was going for a space race victory, I was surprised to find that as soon as you launch your space ship, the game ends. In civs 1 and 2, the spaceship took approx 15-20 years from launch til landing, so I rushed all the bits so that I could launch about 2025 so it enough flight time...

    Fake MPP

I checked the foreign advisor screen, there were no MPP's. All of my MPP's were more than 20 turns old, so I went to the active trades window and cancelled the MPP's.

    Fake MPP

In a recent game, I created MPP's with a number of other civs. (Huge pangea, 16 civs) I did this with the intention of starting a war against a couple of other civs, and letting someone else do the fighting for me. Making peace as soon as possible. After all the wars had started, I cancelled all...
