180 turns or so. dx9. The game looks awful. I have black blobs for clouds, and the civ leaders are not animated just a still shot. I wish I could have seen Montezuma as i ravaged his civ

Started playing the game on the lowest graphic setting (core duo 2.2, 4 gig ram, 9400 gt 512 megs). Ill admit it is awful looking and I am sure going to come to a grinding halt late game.
Been a civer since Civ2, before that played the original...
LOL sucks? If you want a sucky game do the following.
Take a stack of 20 units and attack. While at lose a tank or airship to a spearman.
This game is worlds better than civ4 and I am only 2 hours into a game. The 1upt rule is awsome, made me feel like as if I wasnt just "playing a prettier...

running bare bones graphics, bought 2 hours in, runs smooth looks like trash. Started with 4 civs, and now theres only 3 :). I let you know how middle game goes, tomorrow.
I remember when cIV came out on the first day everybody was moaning and groaning, couple months later the majority caught on how great cIV is\was. I played 5 or 6 turns of the ciV demo then stopped "thinking Why am I wasting my time on this demo when I need to be downloading the legit game"!
New Civ Game has always meant new rig for me.
