Civ6 certainly is good game by a design viewpoint. However, it does not feel like "Civilization" to me anymore. It rather feels like an animated board game, not like a living world.

I made this mistake in my first game too. Fences on nests empty them of aliens. Without aliens, you cannot befriend them. If you want to befriend a nest, turn off your fence around it. Only living nests count.
