    [GS] Hungary Discussion Thread

Cool uniques, but not into the idea of Hungary and Sweden being part of the 9 civs. Not when Portugal and Byzantine are more important European civs...

Where are Persia and Mongolia? We're still missing classic civs

Yeah, it's pretty disappointing that the DLC added just Poland. I would trade Poland + the other DLC stuff for just Persia or the Mongols

    Where are the religious civs?

I think that Jerusalem would not make any sense not being a city-state, especially in terms of a "religious victory." Jerusalem's most important role is of a city that is contested by three different groups throughout history. Rarely was Jerusalem in control of its own land, or religion...

Eurocentrism to the Max!!! What we gonna do?

How can people claim that this is just anti-Europe whining? Persia, Ottomans, Mongols, Huns, Mayans, Incans, NA indigenous, and Siam/other SE Asia are all missing from this. There's also merit for Korea, a polynesian civ, a second SE Asia civ, Tamar of Georgia, Morocco, Mali, and Oman. Whether...

Very few sea resources (and reasons to settle on the coast)

I hope that future Civs like Portugal and Netherlands (or Genoa, Sweden, Oman, Indonesia, Venice, etc) have a UA/UI/UB that makes coastal cities valuable. It would be almost ridiculous for Portugal to be founding every city inland!

    Multi-tile Natural Wonders

I can't wait to see Grand Canyon. I never expected it to be the most beautiful landmark I'd ever seen, but wow. I trust Civ VI to handle natural wonders better than CiV

    Brazil - Pedro II Thread

Argentina was definitely more of a world power around the time of his reign's end. By 1910, Argentina's economy was one of the largest in the world, ahead of Germany, Italy, and France. Its income per capita was at European levels and was four times that of Brazil's. Its leaders up until current...

    Brazil - Pedro II Thread

Brazil being added is just ridiculous. Even within Latin America, Brazil hadn't surpassed Argentina and Mexico in importance until somewhere around WW1. It's managed to use that time since to boom in population and spur a decade of articles about its future--followed by the last 5 years of...

    Brazil - Pedro II Thread

Paulo Coelho, one of the most successful authors of the past century. Oscar Niemeyer as well. After that...relevance goes down quite a bit. I'm not happy with Pedro's look either. Some of these leaders are striking the right balance with the cartoony design and others (Qin and Pedro) are too...

France - Catherine de Medici Thread

Well things are looking up with Jadwiga, Barbarossa, and Saladin!

If the "leaked" picture turns out to be true...

This doesn't add a lot though... Planned capitals and world heritage sites number in the dozens. Hardly a reason to be in Civ. The list of people becomes extremely esoteric and unknown past Paulo Coelho. As far as "blackest city" goes, you're forgetting Port-au-Prince, Kingston, and much more...

    All leader portraits

+1 to the anti-Eurocentrism crowd The developers seem to think Poland is providing some crucial regional or historical representation. I'm disappointed that Poland is taking a spot that could go to an indigenous civ (Inca, Maya, anything in N. America), a SE Asia civ, the Ottomans...

    All leader portraits

While it's cute, I think Poland's inclusion is predominantly for commercial reasons. As a a historical entity, Poland is out classed by Austria, Portugal, Vietnam, the Inca, and Korea, to name a few. Even in terms of gameplay, Poland doesn't seem to offer a particularly interesting or unique...
